*********** staff leading to cancellation of cards

About a year ago I had issued around the updated of my details with you post marriage. After multiple attempts and physically sending someone out to me, this was resolved. Now comes the time for my card renewals. Firstly, I was not contacted to confirm my details as is your process, but cards were issued to the Musgrave branch anyway. I called the branch on receipt of an SMS for collection to find that the cards had the incorrect surname on it. I was told I had to contact the call centre to have them reissued correctly. I called and spoke to Dumisile who I reiterated the correct surname too, and she had the cards reissued for me to Hillcrest. I arrived to pick up, only to notice that again the incorrect surname was used again and was advised that this had to be physically updated on the system for reissue, and Dumisile hadn't done this. The consultant completed the process once more for reissue and handed back my existing cards so that I could continue to transact until the new cards arrived. I made a point to confirm that I would be able to use these as I was travelling and needed access to my funds. She confirmed that I would. She even relooked at the numbers on my existing cards to make sure she did not deactivate the incorrect ones. On Saturday I attempted use of my cards, only for it to be declined. I called the call centre and spoke to Sizwe who advised that my cards were deactivated and that I would have to go into a branch - but of course there are no branches that are open post Saturday morning. I reiterated the incovenience to me and said he spoke to his supervisor and would be able to reactivate 1 card, and the credit card was reopened which I was happy with. He confirmed I would be able to utilise this until the new cards arrived. Come Sunday and another attempt to swipe my card only to be told it was declined once more. I called the call centre again, and the agent said that the card was opened but encoding needed to be done and this could only be done at the branch - Sizwe made no mention of any encoding that needed to be done. The explanation given to me also made no sense, which I highlighted to the consultant but she was insistent and was not able to offer me any working solutions. I requested to lodge a complaint and she advised that the complaints line was not available and she would call me at 9am this morning to do so. It is now 11:00 and I'm still waiting for that phone call. Please tell me why my cards were deactivated when I signed nothing confirming that it should be? How can your call centre not be able to assist as the only possible touch point available over the weekend, and with the error being completely on your end? You would very quickly tell me that I cannot transact if my ID details did not match my account details and if I haven't FICA'd - but then your own systems don't speak to each other and I must be inconvenienced becuase your staff cannot complete admin correctly as per your own procedures? Is this the kind of service I am expected to pay an exorbitant monthly fee for? Please tell me how this is going to be corrected with urgency as I cannot be expected to be travel without being able to access my own funds due to what I can only call incompetence on Nedbanks side.
