*********** and Disappointing service
On 23 Nov 2020 Nedbank home insurance dispatched an electrician to come to investigate the power trip issue. The guy determined that the stove needed elements, however, he said that Nedbank would need to replace the whole stove. 2 weeks passed with no feedback from Nedbank, I then contacted the company and was told that Nedbank was meant to replace the stove but to their surprise, Nedbank only paid the call-out fee and closed the file. 04/12/2020 - Contacted Nedbank and was advised the claim *** was being handled by Devon Martin, asked to speak to him was told they can only email him. On Monday 07/12/2020 contacted them again to be told Devon is not available (again) and they waiting for the report from the company which was dispatched to my house, when I informed them I spoke to the company and was told the report was sent through to Nedbank and clearly stated they must replace the stove, they said they don't have it. They will escalate to Devon and contact me, called again on Tuesday and the lady I spoke to told me straight that it's a wear a tearing issue which they don't cover, thus it was no longer a reported issue now but simply telling me they won't cover. After exhausting my options I requested the report and closure file from them, which I was promised it will be sent to me. I am still waiting for the "so-called" report to date. I am profusely disappointed as I've been with Nedbank since 2006 however they suddenly cannot assist their long-time standing client.
