I'm Disappointed by Nedbank :(

I'm writing this email very sad by how Nedbank has treated me. I got a call from Nedbank in 2019 to offer an opportunity to consolidate my debts and when it was explained it made sense for me to pay only one debt. I took the loan of R90k however soon after I was retrenched from work with no income and this was 2019 towards the end of the year. I wrote to Nedbank to see if I could access my life insurance since I wasn't working and I was told they couldn't assist me since I was less than 6 months into work. Unfortunately, COVID happened and it was really hard to secure any permanent job for at least 2 years the only income I had was UIF for at least 2020/2021, and got a job that paid me 1/3 of the salary for 6 months which proved to be difficult to live since I was at least 2 years of my kids' school fees. I kept Nedbank in contact all the years. I then last year got my old job back of which things started to be okay however I had 3 years of debts which I had to pay and Nedbank credit card and Nedbank loan was part of the plan. I paid the credit card and started to pay the loan however when I started paying the loan I was made aware the loan was listed as "adverse" and tried to challenge it since I never received a letter which I believe it was sent to my old post. I'm now on 4 month of payment and will continue to pay since my debts has atleast settled a bit.

The only issue I have now I'm looking into buying my kids a small house since I'm currently renting and feel it's no use and all my renting money is going into waste - because Nedbank has listed my account as "adverse" I can't buy my kids a house. Even though when I state I've already started paying my loan Nedbank is demanding the 187k ZAR in full before the adverse can be removed.

I never received the actual adverse letter on hand since I believe it was sent to my old address. I already started paying my account and finished paying my credit card. What started as a "credit-free journey" ended so badly that now I can't even buy my kids a shelter. I'm so sad that Nedbank couldn't consider my situation and also world wide known COVID-19 Pandemic.
