Ignoring Debit Order Date Instruction
I have a personal loan with Nedbank. Every month, my bank statements reflect a \trawling attempt\" by Nedbank to deduct the debit order earlier than instructed (sometimes from the 22nd of the month) where I instructed them initially and thereafter on numerous occasions, to deduct the debit order on the 1st of every month, as that is my salary date. My loan account is up to date and I never missed a payment.
Today this ********* conduct caused a major embarrassment to me when I put a trolley full of groceries through the till point, only to be declined due to insufficient funds, while I knew for certain, there should be at least R2500.00 available in my cheque account. When I checked via my cellphone banking, I found to my astonishment that they prematurely deducted the instalment already, instead of Monday 1 Feb 2016.
It is not a nice feeling with everybody staring and some even laughing openly at you!
If they **** all their loans clients prematurely like this, imagine the millions they make each month in interest alone (which I am sure, is not credited to the clients)."
