I have been trying since last week to close my Ned cc - why is every interaction with this bank painful

I have been trying to close my Nedbank Credit Card since last week. Nedbank keeps deducting money out of the account, which I then top up to bring the balance to zero. The three calls to the call center has been a true test of my patience. All I want to do is CLOSE A PAID up credit card account, but Nedbank you guys are the most useless bank in existence. Please get someone to call me whilst my account is still showing as zero balance, before Nedbank deducts further funds thereby voiding my request to CLOSE This account.
