I cannot access my money from my Nedbank account due to fica locks
I have recently opened a bank account with Nedbank due to me having a bond account for years. my new bank account with them automatically got fica locked on the 14 of february and i was in JHB with nothing but a card not working. i went into a branch in jhb where a lady assisted me and sent an email to some gatekeeper and a few hours later my account was unlocked. i then booked a flight and was on my way to durban. the very next day my account was locked again. i then went into the bank where my account was opened and explained my drama where another lady assisted me and got me going. now this week wednesday my account is got blocked again. i called all the above people and was told i need to get to a branch to sort out. the call center gave me the same bull****. today its saturday after making my 1st duty and getting to the branch early filling in more forms and getting my company to email nedbank a copy of my payslip etc my account is still not active. I am all alone here in jhb with only R20 in my pocket and called the call center again only for her to tell me that the gatekeeper closes at 12 and she will call the branch i dealt with and call me back. its almost an hour and still no response.
i so wish that i would have stayed with FNB. never had an issue like this.
People please be aware of the above issue as i am in such and uncomfortable position right now and dont know what to do. i have money. my money but i cannot access it. and my so called bank cannot assist.
how can their so called gatekeeper department go home at 12 before resolving any issues. these are peoples lives they are playing with. its not like its an account that needs to be opened.
you have my F@@@king money.
