HX96THonFee

Early this month i had a positive balance on my account and i went to pick n pay to buy some stuff for R100 and now i see my account is reflecting that i owe R-296.27.

Now, because NEDBANK is to slow with allocating transactions towards my account and available balance they charge me R90 PER transaction I swiped, for that they was suppose to DECLINE if I don't have any funds in my account. I refuse to pay this amount and to think that i even went to open a Nedbank business account for my Business, no other banks does that so i will cancel if i do not get my money back . HX96THonFee 06/11 R100.00 PNP FAMIL -90.00 this is pure rip-off and they even made a name for it which means they do it on purpose to rip people off

Below is a reply that i got from nedbank, a total waste of my time and they did not answer my question. "Dear Mr Gumede , We refer to your complaint on Hello Peter , kindly note that a formal complaint has been logged under CRM: ********** 2 and I am the Manager allocated to the matter. Please see my details in my signature below . Firstly I would like to correct you , kindly be advised that the bank is not responsible for the transactions being banked late by the merchant . The banking of transactions later than the day you do the actual transactions at merchants cannot be controlled by the bank . The transaction will only go off your account once the transaction is banked by the merchant. Therefore you as the account holder will need to check your statement for transactions that you have done but have not been banked as yet. Merchants will quite often bank transactions a few days after the transaction is done and since Nedbank approved the transaction when you had sufficient funds we cannot decline the transaction when it is banked. Unfortunately at this stage banks and merchants do not work in real time . This is something that is being looked into and we could see changes to this in the future." They still haven't answered my question, why am i being charged R90.00 HONFEE, it is not my fault who banks what, when and how. Why do i get penalized for something that is not my fault and no other bank does that. if my account was left only on negative without any penalty charge, i would understand but now i have to pay -R97.00. Every month i pay a service fee of R107 and yet again i get charged for a transaction that is beyond my control.
