how long does a student loan take???

I app**** for a student loan at the end of January this year and eaccording to Linda she processed the application but whenever I go to their branch, whenever my id number is captured I dont even appear on their system. I went to the branch again this past Friday and she keeps on promising me that she will get back to me. How long does this loan take to be approved or declined? I really thought Nedbank was the best until now and how long does it take for a response because Linda said it should be 7 - 14 days but now its almost 5months. This is really unacceptable as I could have app**** at another bank.
