Handing unemployed individual over even though I make payments / arrangements
Good morning
2nd mail
I have been retrenched 2 years ago.
We went into the bank and for a year the insurance covered payments. After that, I went in personally and was telephonically assisted with a payment plan that I could afford as I was still unemployed.
I am married out of community of property, so my husband try to assist me with payments where he can.
We did maybe have 1 or 2 payments that was an issue as there was not an income over December.
With COVID 19 relief measures, I phoned and made arrangements to put a freeze on my payments for 3 months as we have no income.
I was sent an SMS yesterday that I will now be handed over and judgement against me in progress as I did not upheld my part.
I have made arrangements every time and pay as and when I have funds available. Is this how Nedbank treat unemployed people with disabled children that do not have income and still make payments or arrangements at least?
