Greenbacks/miscellaneous charges.
Nedbank has a rather ironic rewards programme dubbed the 'Greenbacks'. the linkage fee is at a constant deductible amount of R25 which is astronomical in comparison to the pathetic 'rewards' you get according to the incomprehensive affiliate packages. The logic was to get discounts and better money management towards savings and investments. As far as the economy(*Rising cost of living) is concerned that one is a no brainer. As I followed through to query why the compensation was so low and practically null and void, further irony was thrown into the mix when I was told that I had to spend much to receive 'much'. That to me is nonsensical and counterproductive to a savings or investment portfolio. It caters to the ******** upper-class and not the already strained middle class or even the marginalized lower class. The request to remove the parasitic charge from my credit free account was delayed over the course of two months, ridiculous for a national financial services institution in the top five! I was then ( in typical South African fashion) sent from pillar to post - that just reflects a poor customer relations management system (CRM). each query should be dealt with within 2-3 business days as an institution at that level should be maximizing its operations and efficiency to ensure there are proper (designed, planned, evaluated and approved by competent management) systems, less queries to begin with and not an influx of complaints about the same things. I have concluded a move of my finances to another institution already. Thank you for your time, may the institution perform at the best level and strive to grow the economy however I will be apart of that with another bank.
