Good relationship went bad - Home loan account no ***

I sold my house and the bond was with nedbank. Upon transfer my loan account was overpaid by R23500 which means i had a credit balance on my home loan account. upon enquiry i was told to speak to Smit Stanton Attorneys in mafikeng (nedbank lawyers) apparently they were the cancellation attorneys (not chosen by me but nedbank) and they needed to complete the cancellation. I called them and they seemed surprised that im calling them and said that they charged R3815 and dont understand what else they needed to do because they had completed everything. I called nedbank and they told me that it will take 3 months for cancellation to complete.

1. the bond statement was finalised and it showed a credit so i dont understand what else needs to be done, transfer of ownership is done and all names have changed.

2. they have my R20 000 and i have a feeling they are going to proling this whole process to make deductions on my credit for legal fees etc.

3. I notified them in september of my intention to sell so everything was done according to our contractual agreement

4. I need this money to use towards my new house, so now i have to wait for nedbank to finish their admin for me to get MY MONEY

5. Oh their lawyers seems not sure about their process and their telephone etiquette is sooo bad (they just dont care im just a number to them)
