General warning for customers
This is just a cautionary tale of my involvement with Nedbank.

2014 was a tough year for me.

It started well - I topped up my Personal Loan with Nedbank in Feb. (not sure of the terminology, I had a loan that I had been paying off and I renewed the loan.) Very pleasant process and helpful staff. plus point here, they were very good here.

I opted to have insurance against retrenchment etc.

2 months later I get to work, company I been at for 7 years, and the MD comes to everyone and says.
Sorry guys company is closed. go home I will see if I can pay you last months salary. Here I sit without work after 7 years.
Speak to Nedbank explain the situation, while not being employed going into arrears.
After some time Nedbank come back and say the insurance is not valid because the account is not yet 3 months old. Even though it was a top up on a loan I had had for years they say it's a new account not yet 3 months old insurance not valid. In the interim I find a new job at a small company now in arrears I attempt to catch up. after 5 months at the new compnay they close their doors too. still no help from the wasteful expensive insurance option. there is more but I am out of chars
