On Sunday 22 September at 20:06 while I was at home, I received the following sms Nedbank: Warning. Card transaction of R297,01 on a/c **7677 outside SA at FORUM PUBLISHIN G. 22 Sep 19 at 20:06. Avail R... . +***, however I called your head offices immediately cause I didn't make this transaction and the lady transferred me over to your ***** department and said my card will be stopped and I will be reimbursed as the guy could not give me more information however, on Monday I went to nedbank branch at promenade and the lady could not locate the transaction as this was still pending and she assured me she will call me back on the 25 September 19 even though I showed her the text I received , I asked her what would happen cause I didn't purchase anything of that amount she couldn't answer my questions and just said I should wait for the transaction to reflect. This confuses me why should I wait? And what will be done after this transaction do reflect? I had both my cards (cheque and Amex) at home so how could this error occur? I remember when I opened my account with nedbank the lady assured me that their banking is very secure and safe. This is the 1st time this is happening to me. And now I have my doubts how secure and safe my money is. Its not even a credit account its my cheque account. I am very unhappy, I don't feel my money is safe with your bank any longer. Im even considering closing my account however, I can't at this moment as this will be short notice for debit orders and wages coming in.
