***** CASE
In February I was unfortunately involved in a ***** **** to the value of R10 000.00. I had sold a cell phone and the buyer said that they would transfer the money into my account. I called and spoke to the manager of my branch who advised me that when the money shows in my Available balance no one can touch it! The next day money showed in my available balance so I delivered phone, 2 days later money was taken out! Branch manager said that it was a cheque payment that was cancelled, my argument is that it was in my available balance which means no one can touch it, clearly they can!!!!! He also showed me the scanned copy of the deposit slip which had not been stamped properly, suggesting inside job!!! I lodged a complaint with Nedbank, Police and the Ombudsman. After MONTHS of back and forth mails with Nedbank they said they had done the investigation and decided it had nothing to do with them and the case was closed. the report I received from them failed to mention the scanned deposit slip!!!! they also said that the money never showed in my available balance! *******!!!!! If the money was not in my available balance I would have NEVER let the phone go. ******* ******* *******!!!
