***** at its best

Last year December my husband and I saw a car online that we wanted to purchase, however on our way to view the car we were told to pay the full amount of the vehicle as there was someone else that was interested in the car. I then informed my husband not to pay the full amount and rather a deposit as i was not comfortable with the whole deal as we approached the dealership and we saw ok this was the dealership on the advertisment my husband then paid a deposit of R10 000.00 in the account provided.

We then entered the dealership with 5 minutes from making the payment and we were told that it was a **** we then immediately called Nedbank ***** department to report this and ask for the payment to be stopped, investigated and then be refunded however the agents were not helpful and within 10 minutes from all of this happening we were told that the money has been used and we asked how come as we have called in and we even said that with the first call the agent who hung up said she allocated the account that the money was paid into and then the next one said that the money was used already we were devastated and i wrote an email to the CEO of Nedbank explaining what had happened.

We never received any help from this my husband only received one phone call from Nedbank and that was it, they allow *****alent accounts to be opened making it easier from people who do scans to rob us innocent people from our hard earning cash.

I always thought of Nedbank as a bank with integrity but after this whole ordeal my views of them is at the lowest.

When we called the call center the payment could have been stopped immediately but you are asked so many questions as if you are the one comitting the *****, you even have to confirm your ID number, home address, phone number and details that are so irrelevant when you are on the other line stressed out about loosing your money.

NEDBANK ALLOWED *****S TO ***** FROM US
