Foreigners move your accounts

So, having been a Nedbank user for a few years, I decided to apply for car finance.
First I had to authorise a R300 deduction on my account to be added onto some list or be processed to apply for credit as a foreigner.

Then after lodging my application I get the message:
We regret to advise that we could not process your car finance application.
As a business rule we only process car finance applications for SA ID holders with a valid SA ID, not with passport .
Kind Regards

So why did I have to spend R300 of my money to hear this? Why was this not communicated to me up front before spending 2 hours of my life to apply for something I do not qualify for?

Taken together with the astronomical bank charges, which I wanted to calculate for 1 year alone and display with this message (failed due to a technical error when logged onto internet banking), this bank does not serve me.

Moving to FNB!! My friend got her car financed through them. If you are a foreigner, don't go there, seriously.
