Fica documents required for credit card

I app**** online for a nedbank credit card. I needed this card for mid April for personal urgent reasons. I app**** online mid March and submitted all required documents including I.D and proof of residence. The card division contacted me and requested I sign the agreement which I did and sent back signed. The card was delivered and I was happy to have the card. On 20 April when I tried to use the card it was blocked. I went into the northmead branch only to find out that fica documents are still required! Now I have to wait a minimum of 5 further days to be fica'd. This is disgusting confusing inadequate service from nedbank and will cause me to not be able to fulfil my personal obligation that I needed the card for in the first place!
