Exstremely Disappointed!!

<p>My resent experience with Nedbank personal loan department left my total demoralised and wondering what satisfaction banks gain from getting peoples hopes up and then letting them down.</p> <p>Two week ago, I was contacted by Nedbank personal loans department enquiring if I would be interested in consolidating some of my debt into one loan with a smaller instalment every month and some extra cash to use at my discretion. I want to make this clear I did not contact Nedbank they contacted me. At first I was not interested as my work situation change in the last couple of months, the extra money would take care of some pressing issues as well as create the opportunity, with the surplus cash every month, to take care of other responsibilities. For two weeks, I filled in forms gathered information, emailing everything to the sales consultant. The I was contacted by someone from Nedbank’s ***** division enquiring about my bank statements. I send the statements through which I received from my bank, which I might add costs money to obtain these days. What was odd to me was when I received a return mail letting me know that the person requesting my statements were still on leave till the 27 of January 2017. I received no communication after that till 17h50 Friday evening to inform me that my application was unsuccessful and that I must contact my sales consultant.</p> <p>My complaint is that there was no communication with regards to why the ***** department wanted my bank statements and why they did not phone me to discuss the declined loan application. I now must phone Nedbank to find out what is the problem, after they started the proceedings and told me I qualify for a loan. So why would you create the expectation with someone just to let them down with no explanation. I was not thinking about a personal loan but at this stage the money would be welcomed for several reasons.</p> <p>My experience of the last two weeks regarding Nedbank is not a pleasant one. I have recently been approved for car finance with MFC, a division of Nedbank so why was my personal loan declined.
