Exorbitant banking fees

I opened a cheque account recently with Nedbank, I chose the account as it cheque accounts offer a single fee every month, for all transactions, to my surprise, they are charging me crazy fees for using the account, a whole R500 service fees, I HAVE NEVER SEEN ******* LIKE THIS, R500 for banking fees?????? ATM FEE R191.72, SERVICE FEE R157.00, SASWITCH FEE R40.00, MAINTENANCE FEE R30.00. I dont know about most people, but for me that is alot of money, couldve used that for school fees.
