ENOUGH!
I am retired - have been a Nedbank Client since the mid-80's; I understand having to provide proof of income but this is ridiculous. I need an overdraft facility of R5 000, so opened an online chat with the Bank and was told that I have to have a Pension Statement, but I don't receive a pension and explained to the person concerned that I receive a monthly income from rent and a Life Annuity; I was told that this is not acceptable. But I arranged for a copy of my Life Annuity police to be sent to me - went online again and THEN was told this is not acceptable, they need payslips so you have to be employed. So a retiree with an income cannot apply for an overdraft???????
