Emailing Proof of Payments costs clients and benefits Nedbank

Yet another way to fleece customers? Finally we can now download something called a Record of Payment (ROP). However this comes with a warning from Nedbank!

"Important: This Record of payment contains personal account information and is for the accountholder's use only. Please use the Proof of payment option to notify the recipient of the payment"

BUT: using the Proof of Payment option only allows for users to email the recipients. At a cost of R1.50 per email. No option to download as in the Record of Payment options. Considering how many users there are per day this income to Nedbank must come accrue to many thousands of Rands. The only way around this is to download the Record of Payment and then to block out the "personal account information" that they are warning us about. Then the ROP can be deemed to be safe.

There's no logical reason why the option to download a Proof of Payment is not made available. Especially when one considers that this option was available in the previous Nedbank app before they changed to the new app. I'm not holding my breathe for a response since they haven't responded to my last comment on this matter. 9th September. To be fair though, they do respond to queries and comments made in the app. But then only to say that they will take the matter up with "someone".
