Early payment - Now credit record damaged

I made an early payment on my American Express credit card in December due to getting paid earlier. I got a message from American express that I am a payment overdue. So I called them and they told me because I paid ear**** the payment was allocated for December and not january. So now my credit record at ITC shows I was 30 days in arrears in January although I made a payment for January.

It is very clear that this payment was meant for January. So I dont understand why you damaged my credit record now, although you allocated the payment towards December (which already received a payment end of November.). Can you ASAP send an instruction to all credit Beraus to fix this?

This is unacceptable! You know very well the payment was meant for the following month.

Please fix and email me the update.
