Early Debit sms
In December I was stuck at the airport, not able to pay for car hire because Nedbank Personal Loans had debited my account as early in the month as the 13th of Dec instead of the agreed salary date of the last day of every month. Their explanation for this was an apparent sms which they claimed to have sent to which i was supposed to reply for an arrangement. I called them to reverse the debit, this took the whole day to do. After resetting the debit i asked them to please keep to our agreed debit order date as my salary date does not change. I explained that should it change, I would inform them. Today I received an sms from Nedbank stating that they are going to debit on the 26th of Feb due to the leap year and that I need to reply with either 27 or 29 for my preferred date (mind you me this is with my own airtime). I don't understand how this being a leap year has anything to do with my Salary date as the last day of February is the 29th which is on a Monday. I get paid on the LAST DAY OF EVERY MONTH whether its a leap year or the end of the world. I don't get why Nedbank refuses to understand this. I don't know how else to say or explain this.
