Double Debit
I called Nedbank in the beginning of Nov to request that my debit orders be reduced as I am struggling financially. I also, in that call, asked that my debits be done on 7th rather as i usually only manage to get money on 2 of every month.

They agreed to bring my payments down and debits be done on the 7th but it was a bit late to change the Nov debit.

I accepted this thinking that would mean:
Nov 30th i would be debited (as payment for Nov)
7 January i would be debited as payment for Dec.

Makes sense right?

WRONG

I was debited on 30 Nov and then debited on 7 Dec again!!

When i called today i was told this is correct and that this is the right way for this to be done? The gent on the phone said 7 Dec is payment for Dec? Surely the 7 Jan payment would be for Dec??

I was then asked to hold for a manager and after 15 minutes of waiting I hung up.

Today is the 7th...the day my car and insurance debits go off and now Nedbank has debited money that i put in the bank for my car and insurance.

From a client who called you and had to tell you she REALLY wants to pay her loan back but is SUFFERING financially...you sure know how to help! I am shocked.
