Don't renew your cards rather move to another bank

Nedbank has been a great bank for almost 20 years, in the last 2 months they have destroyed everything I thought was good as a bank. I have been utterly disappointed with them and they have destroyed 2 days of my life and have cost me monetary damage, damage to my personal reputation and caused me more stress than I think I had over this whole pandemic in 2020.

In October I called the bank as I knew my cards was coming up for renewal. I was assured that they will handle my delivery of my new cards to a branch of my choice. For nearly 2 months I heard nothing about new cards and started to panic. I called the bank and they said my card has been delivered only to find out it has been delivered to the wrong branch and it has been delivered over a month ago and the card will be cancelled if I did not go and collect it from the new branch.

I went to the branch they delivered it to only to stand nearly 2 hours in a que to collect with chronic asthma I waited without seeing a single representative till I finally got in the bank with an asthma attack. Got my new card with already a bad taste in my mouth. Went home and used the card for a few days.

Yesterday I went with my family to a restaurant to have breakfast and at the end I wanted to pay my bill, but my card was declined 2 times. I then went to an ATM and the card was declined again so I had to ask someone else to pay our breakfast while I called the bank. When calling Nedbank I was told my card was cancelled and that there is a new card at the branch I originally wanted it delivered to. But I could not collect because it was a public holiday and the branch is closed.

I decided to go today and now I had no cash but had a small amount of fuel in my car that just got me to the branch. I get to the branch and they are closed after I had to take time off from work. I have no fuel in my car and cannot get my card to withdraw any funds. I still have no card I have bills I need to pay for in cash and I can only send Imali.

Nedbank is a complete and utter joke and I will move banks
