DON'T TRAVEL OVERSEAS WITH A NEDBANK CREDIT CARD

I am overseas in Thailand. I have been severely inconvenienced by my Nedbank Credit Card declining for every transaction I try to process. Numerous phone calls by my South African office resulted in promises from Nedbank that the ***** Department had lifted the hold over the card and that the card could be used for the duration of my visit. The card worked exactly once and has refused to be accepted for any transactions since. To make ,matters worse, I can not even transfer the funds I deposited in this card to my Nedbank Current Account to see if that card will work as there seems to be a hold placed over transferring funds out of the card account on my internet profile. It is extremely embarrassing to have transactions declined when there are funds available in the account.<br> <br> Thank goodness my ABSA card has worked without fail so I have been able to meet commitments. Today my Business relationship Manager assured me that I would receive a telephone call from \Nontoko"- predictably this has also not materialised.<br> <br> I have banked with Nedbank for over 30 years"
