Dodge bank deductions

Every month I have been getting multiple R8.60 bank charges for insufficient funds which go to minus. I know I don’t have funds so I don’t use my card when I don’t so why is it charging for card declining 22 times this month when I haven’t been using the card since the 5th of March. How will I swipe my 22 times knowing has insufficient funds?
