DISGUSTING, UNPROFESSIONAL BEHAVIOUR

My mother passed away a few weeks ago. Her employer, the Department of Health, requested that I have some forms signed by my bank to finalize her pension. Today I went into Nedbank, Gardens to have these forms signed. The lady tasked with walking around asking customers if she could help them came to me and asked if she could assist. I explained to her my situation, but she said my mother was to do it herself. I had to explain to her, at length, that as my mother was deceased, this would not be possible. I even had to show her a death certificate. This was not done in private, and in fact I had to explain this to her in the queue with people standing all around me. She said she did not know who I was and that I needed a letter from the court. She could not tell me which court or what letter was required, and that she was unsure as she was "just the bank". She then merely turned around and started assisting another customer leaving me standing there. This service is unprofessional and unacceptable.
