Disgusted with insurance service

I logged a homeowners claim on the 07/01/2017 after we had experienced heavy rain. My Electric fence, Gate motor and exterior lights were affected causin my entire DB board to trip and we left in darkness.

Firstly it took me a trip to the branch to get the claim logged as it was a saturday and the call centre could not assist me without my bond account number.

eventually i have logged a claim at approx 13:00 on the 7/01/2017. now we wait, Sunday acceptable as all vendors are closed. it took a week to get a vendor to come to my house to assess the situation it is now the 13/01/2017 the vendor arrives its now nice and sunny obviously the water that got into one of 12 exterior light fittings is now dried and the lights work. they reset the electric fence and do some settings on the gate motor which after the storm now opens randomly where my neigbour has to call me at work to say that my dogs are on the road as my gate has opened.

vendor leaves saying they will draw up a report and that i should call them when the lights trip so that they can fund the fault. low and behold it rains the next weekand i report back to the vendor which is VCS electrical by the way. they acknowledge the report and say that they will attend.

another week goes by no feedback received from Nedbank or VCS. i return home from a few days away on the 21/01/17 and what do i find my house electricity has tripped my deep freeze is thawed out including my refrigerators and floor covered in water. i call Nedbank on Sat 21/01/17 at 09:30 speak to 4 consultants before someone can help.

Mosa is now assisting but to no avail she cannot assist as it is saturday. she cannot get someone from Nedbank to visit my house and see the danage and i should contact my contents insurance company.

now im ****ed so <osa says please dont escalate to executive complaints before monday she will mail the relevant people and feedback to me on Monday 23/1/17

today is the 25/1/17 still no feedback so i call in and the consultant says that the insurance will not cover anything as it is maintainance related.

so i should now maintain the weather and ask the heavens not to open up over my house as it will trip my electricity. VCS gas still not rerurned to find the fault so how is it related to maintainance. my gate motor opens on its own at random times caused by the liightning and this is maintainance my electric fence is still on limp mode as soon as the winds pick up the alarm trips and this is maintainance.

Needless to say that i will hopefully receive feedback from Nedbank in a weeks time.

Nedbank is supposed to" make things happen" this certainly does not happen. now they are changing their slogan to "Money Matters" im sure this means that the money i pay you for insurance matters, but my issues are of no concern to Nedbank.

I am currently moving my building cover to my broker and lets hope I matter to them.

Sadly Disgusted Nedbank Client
