Disappointing Nedbank service

In February, tried to open a credit card account with Nedbank. Was contacted by a Tshepo, who asked for the supporting documentation. I e-mailed it to him as well as ********** Then I get an sms a week later stating that my application was declined. Phoned Nedbank, after speding 45 minutes with the consultant (not including the waiting in the queue part) they told me it was because they didn't receive my supporting documentation.

Went to the Menlyn branch today to try in person. Unfortunately there seems to be a glitch with FNBs system and I could not download the latest three months (some error about only being able to download 1 statement at a time) but I could for February 27 and back three months. I could show my latest account transactions with salary payment. I had Jan, Feb, March salary slips. Sorry, those are too old.

Asked if I could at least then fix the account statement password issue with me being unable to open the e-mailed statements. Sorry, that's a system error.

As I leave the branch, I turn around deciding to close my account with Nedbank. That process (which is apparently a simple withdrawal which if the account is empty for more than a month it gets closed) took an hour (not including the waiting in the queue).

Then I query the transfer date, which was for the next day, because I don't want to pay early withdrawal feed since it is a notice account. They can't tell me. Also apparently the account is no longer a notice account? Since when?

The most annoying thing is that as I'm waiting to close my account, I apply for a credit card using the FNB app. Approved! But a fancier one than I want. I couldn't go to the FNB branch, next to the Nedbank branch, because Nedbank took too long to handle the withdrawal.

I just hope Nedbank doesn't charge early withdrawal fees.

I used to like Nedbank but with the terribly slow service (on other occasions as well) and apathy they have towards their clients...I am no longer willing to bank with them.
