Disappointing Experience With Nedbank

I am writing to formally complain about an amount of R6,000 that was deducted from my account without my permission or prior notification. As an unemployed mother, I rely on the limited funds available in my account to support my family. I was shocked and distressed to discover that Nedbank had removed R6,000 from my account without any warning, phone call, SMS, email, or explanation.In an attempt to resolve this matter, I visited the Vangate Mall branch, where I waited for more than an hour. After waiting, I was advised to contact the call centre as the branch could not assist me.I then called the call centre yesterday and again today. On both occasions, I remained on hold for more than an hour without receiving any assistance. Frustrated and still without answers, I returned to the Vangate Mall branch, only to be told once again that they could not help me.I find this level of service unacceptable. Not only has a substantial amount of money been taken from my account without my consent, but I have also been unable to obtain any explanation despite spending hours trying to get assistance through both the branch and the call Centre. I request the following as a matter of urgency A full explanation of why R6,000 was deducted from my account. Copies of any documentation or authorization re**** upon for this deduction. Immediate investigation into the transaction. Reimbur*****t of the funds if the deduction was made incorrectly or without proper authority. A prompt response to this complaint. I trust that Nedbank will treat this matter with the urgency and seriousness it deserves. Should I not receive a satisfactory response and resolution within a reasonable timeframe, I will have no alternative but to escalate my complaint to the relevant regulatory and dispute resolution bodies, including the National Financial Ombud, and to bring this matter to the attention of the media due to the significant financial hardship and distress this situation has caused my family and me.
