Disappointed with the obnoxious and *********** behavior for the last time.

On Wednesday the 5th of October I went with my partner to Nedbank Fourways to close my Savy account. When we arrived we went to enquiries and were told rudely by a lady to sit in the waiting room as they couldn’t help us and someone will be with us shortly.

Waited 12 minutes for someone to attend to us, the branch manager walked past us, attended to a personal conversation with an employee at enquiries (laughing, talking loudly and imitating something from a movie) walked round us to help another gentleman and woman - eventually my partner cleared his throat and stood up, the branch manager came to us and asked if he can assist us, we told him we been waiting about 18 minutes now and no one has even come to speak to us – he approached a table where 2 ladies were sitting at one desk they too were on the computer also laughing and joking whilst seeming to “busy.”After 5 minutes of waiting I asked the ladies to call the manager – Lady by the name of Rulani was hostile and told me we must give her 1 minute as she is busy– with that I proceeded to tell her that I just want to close an account, we been sitting here and no one has assisted us this is unacceptable. I went back to sit down, the other lady from the desk left and Rulani called us.

Rulani went on to tell me she couldn’t close my account as I had transferred my money to another Nedbank account and it hadn’t cleared yet and she will do it the next day. I told her I wanted proof of this visit as it won’t be done; she proceeded to tell me I must take her name and use it as a reference. My response was that nothing will happen because this isn’t the first or second time this has happened to us – people can’t keep their word at Nedbank and we will still get **********.

After the continuous back and forth of Rulani telling us that she can’t give me proof, that there is no reference and that I must just come back and check if she did her work or not the next day.

Rulani eventually gave me a copy of the paperwork that I signed and promised me that she will close the account, the internet banking etc the next day (7th October) and will phone me to confirm it has been closed.

Today is the 14th of October and I received a message that I have a low balance in the account.

I want this account CLOSED TODAY and all the money for the admin fees, bank fees and account fees for October returned back to me –I have got documentation should you request it. I will not be going back to Nedbank to fix this problem.

With this I would like proof this account is closed, money has been returned back to me and communication between myself and Nedbank is done via email only.
