Disappointed with no proper feedback on my R200k Homeloan application submitted in June 2018 at Nedbank Heidelberg Gauteng Branch.

Hi there, my name is Magauta Florence Mo***eng and I am a director of LN Business Enterprise (***) - a Business Consulting & Registrations firm and a client of Nedbank as I hold both a business account and a private banking account. My relationship with Nedbank through the business banker Belinda Combrink at Nedbank Heidelberg Gauteng branch has been so great since 2014 as i had been bringing clients to open business accounts with Nedbank through my manager Lazarus Matope as my business specializes in company registrations among other services.

I found a house for sale and decided to buy through Nedbank homeloan finance of R200,000. I consulted my business banker Belinda Combrink who advised me on all the required paperwork being self-employed.

On 20th June 2018, we submitted the application which after few weeks returned due to adjustments that needed to be done on current financials statements; as director's remuneration was combined together with other employees' salary and wages as well as management accounts were required.

I asked my accountant to prepare managememt accounts and I also asked my lawyer to amend the Offer To Purchase which expired after 21 days. On 14th August, I resubmitted the required documents to the branch unfortunately on the day that the business banker Belinda Combrink resigned. I had to liaise with the H/berg Gauteng branch manager Franklin Pais who managed to send the file to Dean de Alfonso of Nedbank Springs Mall Gauteng Branch for recapturing and submission.

As of today 10 September 2018 I had been contacting Springs branch for feedback but to no avail. It's either my call is dropped on the intended extension or no answer.

After continued attempts, on each slim chance I or my manager gets to speak to the banker (Dean de Alfonso) who is currently working on the file, I am told the application has been submitted to credit and awaits response. When I enquire about a reference for the application I don't receive any feedback.

I am concerned as I had trust in Nedbank that it does things differently from other banks and also hoped I would not experience this type of treatment by looking at the business my company has been bringing to Nedbank Heidelberg Gauteng Branch to open business bank accounts. (List of such businesses can be provided if requested).

Will I ever get help from Nedbank regarding my homeloan or I should start looking for help outside my banking stream (and start afresh even though it may become so late for the seller)? My worry is that if I keep waiting without no response the seller may even decide to sell to someone else as I don't know what to say anymore each time the seller requires progress report regarding the finance application. The response period is getting prolonged more and more.

Desperately hoping that with HelloPeter involved my case will be attended urgently. Thank you.
