Disappointed

In September 2024, during one of the most difficult times in my life, I finally received a job offer after being unemployed. It felt like hope had found me again. However, that hope quickly faded when the company required me to arrange a payment plan with MFC due to my outstanding debt.

I reached out to MFC and spoke to a consultant named Chaniel Meyer. I explained my situation and asked for a payment arrangement so I could secure the job. Instead, I was told that no arrangement could be made and that I needed to settle the full amount. I simply could not afford to do that at the time. Because of this, I lost that opportunity — not because I didn’t want to pay, but because I wasn’t given a chance to try.

Fast forward to April 2026, I was fortunate enough to receive another job offer. Once again, I was asked to provide proof that I had previously attempted to make a payment arrangement with MFC and was declined. I felt relieved, thinking this would be easy to confirm.

I contacted MFC again and, by coincidence, spoke to Chaniel Meyer. I politely asked her to send an email confirming that I had contacted MFC in 2024 and was told I needed to pay the full amount. Instead of acknowledging my request, she ignored it and sent a completely different email outlining my current balance and even offering a payment plan this time.

That was never the issue. All I needed was a simple confirmation of what had happened before — the truth. Because that request was ignored, I lost yet another job opportunity.

It is heartbreaking to sit with the reality that over the course of two years, I have lost two chances to rebuild my life — not due to unwillingness or neglect on my part, but because I was not given the support or acknowledgment I needed at the right time.

I am trying to move forward, to work, to pay what I owe, and to build a better future. But instead, I feel stuck, overlooked, and deeply discouraged. No one should have to lose opportunities like this simply because their efforts were not recognized or taken seriously.
