disappointed
I am a very disappointed client. I was unemployed for a while now since I moved home from Johannesburg to assist my sick mother. I got a job recently and have made arrangements with nedbank to start paying up my personal loan monthly. On my first installment date when i went to the ATM there was an issue. I was given an incorrect account number so I had to go in the bank and sit in a long line for assistance. I was assisted by a kind gentleman named Logan Naidoo from the PE Nedbank branch in Newton Park He in turn called headoffice for me and got things sorted. I've since paid 2 installments timeously without missing. My new workplace has been bombarded with calls about my Nedbank debt and yet I never ever said where I work. The more I ask for them not to call the more they give me cheek. I get home and find a letter of demand. My grandmother passed on last week and I have been up and down and never had time to call, so Today I call ***for assistance to try and understand what the misunderstanding is and seek assistance. Firstly the guy answers the phone Hello...no greeting of how can I help or anything. he already sounds like he doesn't want to help in the first few lines. I give my ID number, confirm my name. I then advise him that I received a letter of demand but I have been paying. He then says he has security questions. Asks for my address and I give it, asks where I work and I say I don't want to give that information , if he could perhaps ask any other questions because I have NEVER informed them of where I work so how is that question going to confirm that its me if I MYSELF have never let them know. He told me that he can't help me. I asked to speak to a superior, he Then advised that they had all left, and its clear to him that I DON'T want assistance and if I decide otherwise I must call on Monday so someone else can help me. I requested his name which he gave in a ****y manner Samkelo Thetwa and he even ****ishly said heres my teamleaders name aswell, Lebo. I wrote it down, said ok and hung up. I don't know if he was in a hurry to leave as it was just before 5pm that I called on a Friday, 9 March 2018. When dealing with customers there is a way one speaks to them...we don't expect sympathy or ridiculous things, all I ask for is a tiny bit of empathy or understanding. I never called to argue, I called to resolve an issue and not receive the disgusting service I received. If this is how clients are treated then i dont ever want to be associated with Nedbank, and i will share this with all my friends and family. I am deeply disappointed, just because I was in arears at a time I get such treatment? yet I am making an effort. everyone's situation is different, you don't know the next person's issue so treat everyone with kindness ESPECIALLY if it is your JOB TO DO SO. I hope not everyone at Nedbank has Samkelos attitude. ..Goodluck to him
