Deposit from overseas sent back to the sender - why?

Definitely require a 0 rather than 1. We were paid from a relative in Dubai on 8th Jan 2025 my partners brother into the Bank. We followed the rules and phone calls from Nedbank and yes it was in the bank but not released yet as of yesterday. So 3 days later and wham bam it was sent back to his brother. No one can tell us why.
