Declined credit application

<p>I have been declined a credit card and meet the financial requirements, may family has been banking with them for years and owe no debt,I app**** and the application was rejected, my mother then wanted to give a platinum card without proof of income. I qualify for a young professionals account but don't want to pay those fees, the lady at the branch said I must apply for a credit card so that I can earn a good credit rating but how am I even supposed to put my foot in the door for a loan on a property if I've never ever had credit??? I have had investemrnts with Nedbank but they seem to not look at that, most of my money is in investments, I was also told to get a jet or Edgar's account and hold it for three months then apply I think this absurd when I can purchase cash, I just wanted a credit card for car rental when I go visit family overseas...</p>
