****************

Nedbank repossessed 2 vehicles from us while paying for both. For both cars, Nedbank never wanted to enter into any negotiations with us before and after they took the cars. All they wanted was just be in possession of our cars, it was only after they sold them, they called us to make an arrangement to pay off the balance yet they refused when we asked them for an arrangement to pay off what they "claim" we owe.

The 1st car, a Landrover Freelander, only had 1 month to be paid-off when Nedbank came to our door-step with a court-order to take the Landrover without any negotiations. The 2nd car, a Nissan Qashqai, was only a year old when they repossessed it. When it was bought, Nedbank offered us a Retrenchment policy. A year later, my husband was retrenched and the Nedbank Retrenchment policy never paid out despite receiving all premiums on the Policy.

We are now 22/12/2021 and Nedbank never resolved our dispute! This just goes to show the injustice from SA’s banking system as they continue to control our finances unfairly and *******ly without anyone questioning them because they have become so wealthy from the consumer’s hard earned salaries that they own and pay the strongest lawyers who never play by the rules, who would stoop down to the lowest level to ensure that the bank never loses a case in the court of law!

When we bought the Nissan Qashqai which was financed by Nedbank, we were still paying off a Honda Civic which was financed by FNB as well. When my husband got retrenched and missed 3 months payments on both cars cars, Nedbank’s own retrenchment policy wouldn’t pay out and when we requested to make an arrangement for those 3 months they refused and went ahead and got a summons to repossess our Qashqai through shady dealings such as falsifying documents, for instance claiming that someone came to our place of residence to make a payment arrangement but we wouldn’t cooperate with him, just for the bank to get a default judgement without our knowledge. There were many similar false claims from Nedbank that helped them get the default judgment. However, FNB was a complete different story. FNB is the one that contacted us to make a payment arrangement for those 3 months unpaid premiums and we still drive that Honda Civic which was paid up 6 years ago. That definitely says a lot about Nedbank!
