DAY LIGHT *******
I have a home loan with Nedbank. In august 2015 I converted my bond payments from debit order to stop order. I informed the bank about the changes but only confirmed the Wednesday 12 August 2015. The debit order is due to deduct the 15 August 2015 but the call center agent assured me the was enough time. Sunday I received a message confirmation from my bank that the debit order still went off affecting my other payments. Monday morning I rushed to the bank to correct this. I was advised that they cant reverse home loan debit orders and the put me on the phone with the call center. I spoke to the specialist he advised me that cancellation takes about 9 days. This was news to me because I was never warned about this before instead assured otherwise. I expressed my concerns as the double payment affected my other payments. The bank agent advise me that I can use my excess in the meantime to sort that out. In my state of panic I agreed and did as advised. Nedbank calls me days later saying I owe the R7700. I laid a complaint but same results. No action against the agents that advised me and I still owe the said amount. So this is ***** they could be doing this on to make money :'(
