Credit not removed from Credit bureau

I received an email on 23 July 2024 saying that debt on my name had been prescribed and should be removed from my credit record. After numerous emails and phone calls this is still showing on my credit record and nothing has been done about it. This is preventing me from being able to purchase a vehicle which is a matter of urgency. I keep being promised it will be sorted out and it has not been done.
