Credit check without my consent

<p>A male loan consultant from Nedbank Greenacres branch by the name Khanyisa phoned me yesterday offering a loan. I clearly advised him that I am not interested in applying for a loan as i'm financially ok. To my surprise, today I received a notification from Transunion stating that there has been a loan enquiry done on my credit record and when I enquired who it was, I was advised that it is Nedbank. Why go ahead and process a credit check on my name without my consent? I mean unnecessary enquiries will in the long run affect my credit score, then when I really need the loan then i cannot get it. I want to have this information removed as a matter of urgency from my credit report. I mean Nedbank is a reputable bank, I cannot believe you go around doing unauthorised checks on your clients' records. This guy phoned me from phone numner: ********** . This needs to be addressed immediately, when I moved to Nedbank i was so sure my records are secure, now I have to consider moving to another bank. This is unacceptable. Have this information removed now. As in now.</p>
