Credit Card Closure

I have been trying to close my Credit card account with Nedbank since the 31st of January till this day nothing has been done. Transactions keeps on going off from my account. When I made a follow up with nedbank I was told that I won’t be liable for the charges since I have requested an account closer. I’ve made a payment of R48 000 and my account was fully paid up before I’ve asked for the closure. Ive got three reference numbers and my account is still active. Last week I had to pay an amount of R600 (Finance charge, VAT, Card Maintenance fee.

I keep on paying for the account that I’m no longer using, I’ve even destroyed both of my cards. This week I called twice requesting for the same thing. When I called on Monday, I spoke to Nosipho and requested to speak to her line manager and I was told I was being transferred only the call to be dropped.

I’m not happy with the service at all and I’m very disappointed in how my query has been handled. I don’t want anything to do with Nedbank, I just need my account to be closed and I’m afraid that next week on the 10th I’m going to be charged the same (Finance charge, Card maintenance fee, VAT etc)

Hopefully as I right this, my account will be closed.
