Credit card balance

On the 15/04/16 i received via email a credit card statement from them stating my balance as R7,131.00 <br> I therefore went to the bank to make a payment of R7, 150.00 just for control because i wanted to close the account.<br> after paying over the counter at NEDBANK fourways, i headed directly to inquiries to cancel, the directed me to a phone at the corner to call cards division who then told me i cant cancel because the money isnt updated yet. <br> On Monday, i call them to close the credit card i am told i now owe an extra 80 something rands? where does that come from? i am told it is over the counter fee? what on earth is that. i pay you, you charge me for paying you? Thats day light *******,<br> <br> I just need to close this credit card, I am legally allowed to do that isnt it? especially since i paid my outstanding balance.<br> <br> please sort this out.
