Contacted by GLA attorneys for prescribed debt that is over 8 years old

Hi,

I am being harassed by a debt collection company called GLA attorneys the last few days, sending me threatening sms's to pay for a amount of monies towards my cheque I once had with Nedbank about 8-9 years ago. They are threatening to serve a sheriffs notice to my work and constantly harassing me. They also went as far as to tell me they are from Nedbank head office and sent an sms stating that they have a recording of me promising to pay via debit order. So they are clearly tampering with voice recordings as I have not spoken to anyone from GLA attorneys.

This debt has been prescribed long ago, I don't appreciate the threats and demands I am now receiving by your buyers. Can you tell them to stop immediately or I will have to take further action. I have read an article of the extents they go to.
