Confusion at NEDBANK

I app**** for a consolidation loan at Mall of Africa, and they called me back that I have been approved. I then went in to sign the contract. I was told that my creditors will be paid in a day or so and I should go ahead and call them to stop the debit orders, etc. Within a day I got an email that I have been declined. I don't understand what is going on. I have been given run arounds ever since. I am trying to understand what really happened. My credit is good and I can afford it, and it's a consolidation loan, it will cut my payments monthly by more that half.
