Compliment for an outstanding employee...
I would like to write a heartfelt letter to the most Amazing and dedicated person i have had the privilidge to interact with: Ester Tiyeka Dlambewu
Allow me to share my story and my interactions with Ester
On the 6th of August 2018, my wife and I were blessed with an Amazing beautiful daughter born at Die Wilgers hospital. We received good service from our doctor and the hospital during labour, the child was not breathing well after birth and had to be taken to intensive care. She was in the intensive care for several days and to our appreciations the doctors did everything and gave us the most Amazing service. We went home with our daughter and we couldn't be more happier. I have to admit that we didn't take our eyes off her, at night we would wake up just to check up on her as her breathing was worrying. We couldn't have been happier when she started smilling and mimicking every movement we did.
Our problems started in December when we started receiving messages that we owed the hospital and the doctor that administered the baby after birth. we contacted the medical aid immediatly and found out that the dependent code was changed from 03 to 04 without us being informed. The medical aid card was send to my previous work address in Nelspruit and I was not aware of the error on the medical aid. In our culture we don't live the house or have guest for 3 months. In December we visited all the doctors and hospital to make sure they had the correct dependent code. The doctor was paid but for some reason the payment to the hospital was not done. I visited the hospital 7 times to get to the bottom of this, we were told that the hospital submited a claim without details, then the dependent code was wrong, and to rub salt to a wound we were informed that we didn't get authorisation.
In this time I am sure we called both the hospital and the medical aid 40 times. Everytime we had to explain the story again, this was extremely frustrating and demoralizing. From the best experience and service to the worst. It was until I spoke to Sis Ester who i consider a sister now, she for the first time allowed us to speak frankly and freely. She took the time to investigate our concerns, she put herself in our shoes and truly truly listened with an open mind. She then went over to say that we could stop calling, she would update me and keep me informed. She put us at so much ease that my wife felt like i had put all my faith in this woman and if she let us down we would have a R15,000 debt to thank her for. My daughter just turned 11 months old and only now our payment has been finalised.
Her dedication, commitment, willingness to assist and her putting herself in our shoes was the best thing. Not only did she save us the petrol cost, she saved us phone cost and the most important commodity time. Time for me and for my employer Nedbank as I was taking alot off time on the phone and in the hospital. I would love to recognise pure passion and service and say to my sister that you have touched our hearts. We are trully blessed to have crossed paths with you and I can't thank you enough for your help.
I hope from today you will be recognized for your service and dedication to our organization. Thank you my sister.
