Complaint ignored since July — months of unanswered emails, unexplained SMS threats, fragmented recovery process, and no accountability from Nedbank

I have been engaging Nedbank since July 2025 regarding a personal loan recovery matter involving serious procedural and communication issues, including: – A summons I never received (only discovered through my own proactive engagement), – Repeated SMS threats with unexplained payment amounts, – A fragmented handover between Norlam, external attorneys, and Nedbank Legal, – A conduct complaint about a Nedbank consultant (***) which remains unanswered.

My repeated attempts — including formal escalations in the month of September with unanswered mails from the 30 September and 3 October — have received no clear response, no resolution timeline, and no acknowledgment of whether my complaint is still under review. Meanwhile, automated legal threats and collection messaging continue.

This is not an attempt to avoid a legitimate debt. It is an effort to ensure procedural fairness, transparency, and accountability in how Nedbank applies its recovery and legal processes. A fair process should not depend on a client’s persistence to be heard.

Follow-up: As of [today’s date], I have still received no response from Nedbank, neither to my direct emails nor to this public post. This matter has been ongoing since July 2025, and the lack of engagement speaks to a systemic issue in how client complaints are handled. I will now escalate this to the Ombudsman for Banking Services.
