Claim denied

Nedbank insurance approved my claim only to reject and close and tell me they will refund the premiums that i have paid because i have just joined

But when i joined the said from the 1st premium i was covered And now they are saying another story , that i was still active with another policy.

What i dont understand is , why did they even approve the claim if that was the case… this is unfair treatment
