Cash deposit ATMs out of order

Unfortunately it is sometimes necessary to make cash deposits. Doing so at a teller in the branch costs more as a cash handling fee is charged. The best option is therefore a cash deposit at the ATM, however Nedbank does not make this very easy as these ATMs are often out of order, or do not give you the option of cash deposit.<br> Last week Tues (9Feb16), both cash deposit ATMs at Cresta were out of order and I had to wait >30mins to speak to a team leader (he was not aware that these ATMs were not working and the bank manager was \out') to have the teller handling fee waived. Friday 12Feb16, only 1 of the 2 ATMs was working. 14Feb16 ATM at Campus Square Melville would not accept cash deposits and today (15Feb16) the cash deposit ATM at Flora Centre is out of order. <br> My question is, why have these ATMs when they don't work and why if they are not working, why does the customer have to ASK for the teller cash handling fee to be waived?<br> The branch staff at Cresta, particularly the lady at the 'meet and greet' counter made me feel like I was asking for her salary when I asked to speak to the branch manager/team leader.
