Card taken by ATM machine

I've tried to use my nedbank card at the atm today and accidentally put in the wrong pin, instead of returning my card the machine took the card. I called the call centre to find out how to get it back and they said I must pay to get a replacement card, I didn't lose my card or it got ****** or damaged and Nedbank requires me to pay for a replacement card cause their ATM took the card.

I've had in the past with Standard Bank putting in my pin wrong but it just pops out the card and says wron pin.

Nedbank obviously are now trying to make more money off of me so I'll just leave the card be, close the account and thats that.

Really bad service.

Thank you to Nicolas Govender from Nedbank who resolved the issue with no excuses unlike the original call centre agent who I spoke to on the day of the incident.
